nds4droid release 47

2016 brings us an update for nds4droid! Nathaniel D. was nice enough to provide a new German translation. In addition I went ahead and converted the code to an Android Studio project and moved everything away from Sourceforge (15 years too late, amirite) and over to GitHub. The code can now be found there: https://github.com/jquesnelle/nds4droid.

Go ahead and grab the latest APK or get it straight from Google Play.

  1. Hey, thanks for such an awesome app! It runs great on my new S7 edge, but I can’t seem to bring up the settings/options no matter what I do. The button on the bottom right is supposed to do that, right? On my phone it is barely visible and nothing happens when I touch it. Is there any other way to bring up the options?

  2. Hi. I see many people have the same problem. I am on a galaxy s7 and what I assume to be the menu button only pauses the rom being run. If you are available, I would be very grateful if you made a fix for this.

  3. The menu button works fine on my phone. But i got other problem. The app can’t rotate the screen to landscape mode on my phone. I try to change some setting and accidentally uncheck the “show button on potrait mode” option. Now I dunno how to redo this since the button did’t show anymore, and the only way I could go to settings is from setting button.

Is there any other way to get on settings beside playing a game and open it from setting button?

  4. Could you allow people to change their Ds emulator customization options, such as change your favorite color, name etc.

  5. Hey I just downloaded this app but the menu doesn’t work. If I click on it, it shows up for like a split second and the goes back down. I’ve had this app on my phone before and it used to work fine but now it doesn’t. I’ve tried closing the application, uninstalling and reinstalling, and restarting my phone but it still doesn’t work. I have a Galaxy s6.

    1. I think I know what the problem is. I figured it out by accident when trying it on my Fire TV 2. You have to give the emulator a sec when you’re at the rom selection screen. If it still back down, try highlighting one of the roms if you have a controller or something. Then, I’d say let it have at least 2-3 seconds. Then, execute the rom. I hope this works for you.

  6. what the hell happen to nds4droid it’s dead or jeffq stop devloping the app? and relinquish the code to someone else to temper with?

  7. I am running a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 on Android 6.0 and my options menu doesn’t work so I can’t access emulator settings. Also can I suggest adding the options menu on the main screen so you can edit the settings outside of game.

  8. Hi there, just changed into alert to your weblog thru Google, and found that it’s truly informative. I’m gonna be careful for brussels. I’ll be grateful when you continue this in future. Lots of other people will likely be benefited out of your writing. Cheers!|
